The Art of UT's University Center

The University Center has a surprisingly large collection of art. There is a craft collection in the hall with the copy center, the main floor hallway has temporary exhibits that change regularly and there is art all over the main and third floor including tucked in stairwells and around corners. There is easily over 100 pieces in the building and is a pleasant place to spend looking while waiting for the rain to clear. The UC is open long hours most days, but times vary. Admission is free and there is a wide variety of food establishments available.

Most of the art is in common areas, so it is easily accessible, but around a third of the pieces were unlabeled. The art hidden in the stairwells do not have any sort of temperature control and it was quite humid and hot in the back stairwell.
